Loba Argo is a Water-Based Hardwood Flooring Finish Additive to prolong the drying time. Argo increases the open time of all LOBA water-based finishes and minimizes the risk of lap marks considerably.
Sand and prepare floors according to NWFA guidelines.
ALWAYS PREPARE A SAMPLE OR TEST AREA TO DETERMINE COMPATIBILITY, APPEARANCE, AND DESIRED RESULTS.
Shake material well before use.
Do not thin. Do not add water.
Do not apply at temperatures below 55°F (13°C). Make sure material is at room temperature. Always maintain adequate ventilation during all phases of the coating and drying process.
Apply evenly at the recommended coverage rate. Avoid streaks, puddles, and lap marks.
Drying time
The drying time of mixed finishes will increase.
A recoating will be possilbe after 6-8 hours.
Can be carefully walked on after 6-8 hours.
Light wear after 24 hours.
Reaches final hardness after approx. 8 days.
Recommended Procedure for Wood Floors
Add Argo only right before the application by shaking or stirring thoroughly. When using 2-component-systems (2K Duo, 2K Supra A.T.) add Argo only AFTER adding hardener to the mass!
Perform application according to Technical Information of the finish, regard pro-longed drying times.
1K finish mixed with LOBA Argo must be applied within 24 hours, 2K finishes within the indicated application time.
Longer stability is not guaranteed.
Can be combined with all LOBA water-based finishes and primers. The application properties of the finish, its product combinability, and the drying time remain unchanged. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet of the corresponding finish.
Compatibility
When this product is used in combination with other LOBA products the technical information of these products must be followed. Refer to the Technical Data Sheets. LOBA cannot guarantee the suitability of products other than LOBA.
General Guidelines
Cleaning of tools: Clean tools and equipment with water.
Cure Time: The stated drying and cure times are based on ideal conditions (68°F, 50% rH) at the recommended application rates. Insufficient ventilation, high humidity, lower temperatures, increased coat thickness can prolong the curing process considerably. Do not cover floors, replace carpets or rugs, or clean floors with a damp mop/cloth before the final curing has been reached.
Safety Precautions: Even when working with low or zero-emission products the usual safety measures must be taken. Keep away from children. Do not eat, drink, or smoke in working areas. Wear suitable safety gloves. Clean product off of hands. Change soiled clothes.
First Aid: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call for medical help immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If breathing is difficult or other respiratory complaints, remove to fresh air and get medical attention. In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes for several minutes under running water. Generally, this product does not cause skin irritation. Call a physician if irritation occurs.
