SPC Flooring
SPC flooring is a rigid core vinyl plank built around a stone plastic composite core. It’s designed to stay stable under daily traffic and handle everyday spills without the swelling you can get from wood-based floors.
The rigid construction helps limit expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes, making it a dependable choice for active homes.
For homeowners who want the look of wood with fewer maintenance concerns, SPC offers a practical balance of durability, stability, and ease of care.

What is SPC Flooring?
SPC flooring is a type of rigid core vinyl flooring constructed in multiple layers. At its center is a dense stone plastic composite core that provides structural stability.
Above the core sits a high-resolution decorative film that gives the plank its wood or stone appearance, followed by a protective wear layer designed to resist surface damage.
Unlike traditional flexible vinyl flooring, SPC maintains its shape under pressure and temperature changes due to the rigidity of its core. This layered construction is what distinguishes SPC vinyl flooring from other vinyl products on the market.
Why Choose SPC Flooring
Waterproof Performance
SPC planks do not absorb water like wood fiber cores can. That makes them a safer pick for kitchens, entryways, and basements where small spills are part of life. If water gets under a floating floor, the bigger concern becomes the moisture trapped underneath, not the plank itself.
Dimensional Stability
SPC rigid core flooring maintains its shape under temperature changes and heavy loads, helping reduce movement and long term expansion concerns.
Impact Resistant
The rigid stone composite core helps resist dents from everyday weight and impact. This makes SPC a strong option for high traffic areas and spaces with heavier furniture.
Ideal for Busy Homes & Light Commercial
If you want an easy care floor that can handle pets, kids, and frequent foot traffic, SPC is often a practical fit.
SPC vs WPC: When to Choose SPC
SPC is the more rigid option. It does not have much give underfoot, and that firmness helps it resist dents and movement over time.
In areas with heavier furniture or consistent traffic, that added stiffness can make a difference.
WPC has more cushion built into the core, which makes it softer and quieter, but that same softness can allow more compression under weight.
If long term stability and resistance to moisture and denting are the priorities, SPC is usually the safer choice.
No floor is indestructible. The performance of either option still comes down to installation quality and how the space is used.
