Loba 2K Contact Water-Based Adhesion Promoter – 1 qt.

Recommended Use

Suitable for high traffic commercial areas. For use over wood and cork flooring with factory applied UV cured finishes where additional coats of protection or a sheen change is required. Can also be used to correct light surface scratching to existing floors.

• Recommended conditions are 55°F-80°F/40-75%rH.
• Do not apply at temperatures below 55°F (13°C). Make sure material is at room temperature. Always maintain adequate ventilation during all phases of the coating and drying process.
• ALWAYS PREPARE A SAMPLE OR TEST AREA TO DETERMINE COMPATIBILITY, APPEARANCE, AND DESIRED RESULTS.
• Shake base well and add the complete unit of hardener to the base container.
• If partial quantities are needed, mix at a ratio of 2 parts base : 1 hardener by weight and thoroughly mix by shaking.
• POT LIFE: 2 hours.
• Do not thin. Do not add water.
• Apply evenly at the recommended coverage rate. Avoid streaks, puddles, and lap marks.

Coverage

500-600 square feet per container.

Drying time

• 2 hours minimum.
• Must be coated within 24 hours.
• Surface of LOBA 2K Contact should be dry to the touch and have no “tackiness“.
• Heavy application or high humidity will increase dry time. Application of finish too early can create visible defects in the finish.

Recommended Procedure for wood floors

• The C4 System:
  • C1:Certify
    • Always test finish prior to application. Follow instructions as stated below in section C2-C4. Test adhesion after 5 days.
  • C2: Clean
    • Clean floor with LOBA Hardwood Floor Cleaner. For heavily soiled floors clean with LOBA Remover according to Technical Information.
  • C3: Contact
    • When floor is thoroughly clean and dry apply 2K Contact. Allow to dry completely.
  • C4: Coat
    • Apply one coat of 2K Duo or 2K SupraA.T.. According to Technical Information. Glossy finishes and LOBA 2K Invisible Protect are not recommended.

When this product is used in combination with other LOBA products the technical information of these products must be followed. Refer to the Technical Data Sheets. LOBA cannot guarantee the suitability of products other than LOBA.
